DAY 15 with Teresa Ann:
There she was on the platform in 2004. Speaking truths of GOD as though the dew of heaven rested on her. After declaring a POWERFUL message of JUST ONE TOUCH from GOD, Lisa Bevere walked in this rare, attractive, yet tangible, divine courage. It was like watching a lionness in the treacherous plains of the territories of her homeland. The stirring of boldness as she ran back and forth, passionately stripping away her jacket, gracefully flinging her shoes off all the while declaring that women come forward as though they see JESUS up at the front. She proclaimed with power, “Come to the front, hold out your hands in front of you as though you are about to receive a gift. I am going to come to each of you and quickly slap each of your hands and when I do that, receive GOD’s gift of Boldness.
WHEN EVERYTHING CHANGED:
Within moments, this definition of boldness that at one point had a negative connotation changed with supernatural violence! For me, my experiences with what I thought was boldness was rude, brash and inconsiderate; however what I realized is that was never boldness, it was just “bogueness”. In that moment on March 14th, 2004, that word took on a whole new meaning in which I will continuously remember; I couldn’t stay in my seat at that conference and finally ran to the front as though I were running to JESUS.
In the moments to follow, Lisa did just as she said and ran across the line of women imparting boldness. To watch her was powerful. She was like a blazing fire right before our eyes. As I think back to this moment, as she went to each woman, there were a few women, that she would stop and give them a personal word from the Lord and then kept going.
At this point, I noticed a pattern in which she stopped and spoke a specific word. As she came closer to me, I prayed, “LORD, give her a word for me please.” Of course at that time, I had no idea that HE HIMSELF wanted to speak to me directly; yet in HIS kindness, as she stopped at me, she imparted with the clasping of her hands onto mine and was about to keep going to the next woman when suddenly she stepped back in front of me. She swiftly, yet gently placed her hand on my stomach and shouted, “Boldness and creativity; you will do things you never imagined with HIM!” And that’s all I remember. It was the moment that started this radical change in my life. I began to see that boldness was not rude; instead it was so loving intertwined with truth; incredibly gorgeous and attractive, making a divine spectacle of GOD’s glorious goodness!
What I realize more and more is that boldness in Christ is coupled with love and grace. There’s this wherewithal that is displayed because of our position, being IN HIM and Who Christ is. There is divine creativity in delivering truth with the powerful ability to lovingly teach; just as Jesus notably did as revealed through the Gospels. His ability to speak truth was not about trying to get a message to manipulate others to see it from HIS point of view. It wasn’t about HIM beating around the bush; instead the boldness HE walked in was precise and HIS sole purpose to point others back to the Father GOD with effectiveness and power compelled by HIS great love!
REFLECTION OF THE WORD WITH HOLY SPIRIT:
Proverbs 28:1; Hebrews 4:16; Philemon 1:8; Ephesians 3
- How do you see GOD in this moment in regards to boldness?
- As I shared my unforgettable memory of how boldness unfolded right before my eyes, let me ask you, in the past, what were your thoughts of boldness?
- What do you think of boldness now?
- With that boldness we are able to enter GOD’s Throne of Grace; so with that, how do you see that approach to GOD now? Please share…
