FAITH SAYS, “IT IS FINISHED”
Time stamp: 2:19 am.
So badly I wanted to go to bed, yet divine curiosity got the best of me. Plopping myself in my chair, I grabbed the Word of GOD and what popped in my mind was Matthew 2:19. As I looked it up, I read these words, “When Herod died, an angel of the LORD appeared in a dream to Joseph in Egypt, “Get up!” The angel said, “Take the child and his mother back to the land of Israel, because those who were trying to kill the child are dead.”
Normally if I were to read that, I would keep flipping through the Bible to look for another reference to 2:19 or just open it to something familiar, because it would have not meant anything, yet in that moment, I felt that divine “Selah” – to pause and let Holy Spirit park me there. After reading, I said, “LORD, I don’t get it…how does this correlate with our today?” Then I saw the word, “Principle”.
This is when I noticed something, there was a pivotal [crucial, vital, cardinal, of fundamental importance] moment when transition happened; when seasons changed.
“This” had to take place, before there could be a “Get up and go”. After some research, I found that Egypt represents human wisdom. All the old things that have been “learned” in our lives are about to be unlearned with GOD’s Kingdom mindset. GOD in HIS patience and mercy knows things have to die and come off of us before we can GET UP AND GO in this new season.
Meanwhile the angels keep us in all our ways as human wisdom is replaced with new measures of GOD’s wisdom that stir from within by the Holy Spirit’s power pointing us back to the Father. As human wisdom falls off, the residue of fear is exposed. Parts of our hearts that have not yet been surrendered to HIM are now being surrendered, even right now.
With fear, it conjures illusions that it’s impossible for GOD to come through. Yet today I believe there has been a transitional moment in which all of times past, the miraculous moments of the days before leading up to this are stirred yet again. They aren’t just seared within our memory (soul/mind) but more importantly within our spirit – from the place where forgetfulness cannot touch.
What I love is I believe GOD revealed to my heart is that NO one could have planned the collision of GOD’s power into the seemingly impossible. Our hearts being so turned with hope toward the Father in measures never known before that the miraculous we didn’t even know to believe are manifesting from the faith dimension into our dimension of time and space.
It isn’t that GOD is “now” working on your behalf and playing “catch up” with what the enemy has done; instead it is that GOD has already gone before you way before all of this manifested and we are catching up to the answered prayers that we have agreed with GOD. The tool of faith lets us see into the unseen…so that we can agree with GOD, partnering with HIM accelerating us to HIS intended breakthrough. I realized even more that this is why HE has us pray from a position of faith or in other words, praying from a position of “It’s already done” versus praying from a position of panic. Praying from the position of being “beneath” is human wisdom and that has to go as we are “above”, sitting with Christ in the heavenly realms…our position of faith, which is the only thing that pleases GOD, our position in Christ causes us to see from an “aerial view” – this is where we continue to praise and pray.
I believe all that was written to simply say that GOD means it when He says, “It is finished”. It’s as though as I can hear, “Now get up and go.” “Teresa, pray from the position of thankfulness and praise that I have already worked it out; from that place is how you are able to BOLDLY enter into MY throne of grace.”
Praying that one simple, pithy prayer/declaration this morning, “IT IS FINISHED!” there’s an immeasurable grace stirred within you to cause you to walk with your heads lifted high as your continual fixed gaze is on HIM as you know GOD is your Strength and Dignity and that is why you can laugh with no fear of the future. WITH FAITH, we get to declare from a position of “it is already done” versus ever praying from a place of panic that GOD has to somehow play “catch up” to what the enemy has done…by the insight and power of the Holy Spirit, HE has me declare from proper perspective, as we are seated with Christ Jesus in the heavenly places. This thought is coupled with JOY! Wow GOD! We simply get to agree with HIM that “It is Finished”…no more prayers from exhaustion, but from being above with JESUS, we are never to pray from a place of being beneath for the enemies plans have already been FOILED and even though our circumstances don’t “Look like it”, we don’t go by the “seen”, but by the unseen. We get to agree with GOD, making it so even in our “now”.
GOD, WE BELIEVE that YOU, yet again have already frustrated the plans of the enemy; confusion has entered their camp to where now they are telling on themselves. It’s the “Haman effect” as recorded in The Book of Esther. Our praises to GOD send confusion to the camp of the enemy. The enemies violently cover their ears, wincing in torment that we remind them what happened at the cross, JESUS declaring the WAR AND BATTLE CRY OF VICTORY, “IT IS FINISHED”…”IT IS FINISHED” “IT IS FINISHED”.
Yes! It is finished over your situation..this covers every part and beyond – this victorious declaration of Holy Spirit goes beyond any strategic prayer – it is the ultimate prayer. Jesus, WHO intercedes to the Father on our behalf, He says, “It is finished.” And we simply get to agree with HIM!
Whenever fear tries to enter in, we simply say with boldness, “Thank YOU JESUS! It is finished!” Yes and Amen!
REFLECTION OF THE WORD WITH HOLY SPIRIT:
Matthew 2:19-20; John 19:28-30; Ephesians 2:6-8; Book of Esther; Hebrews 4:16
“It is Finished”, the bloodied, violent declaration over every battle and war from Jesus HIMSELF as HE could still boldly declare it because HE knew Who HIS Father was, no matter the enemy.
- In what areas are you able to now pray, “It is finished” over?
- Did you know that GOD is not playing “catch up” with your circumstances?
- Being that your circumstances are subject to change, they are also subject to our GOD. How do you see GOD now?
- What are some “impossibles” that have caused you to pray from a place of panic versus faith of declaring, “It is finished”.
- Begin to pray, “Lord, I now know what you say about this, you declare that this is finished, so now what is my part to play in this?”
