COME AWAY WITH HIM
In the looking back at every subject matter these past twenty seven days, it causes me to declare who we are in HIM as I’m learning more and more of WHO HE truly is…and yet these moments are still only glimpses of knowing that GOD is beyond vast and yet so near.
So here we go, let the declarations of twenty seven headings point back to HIM…
God’s compassion causes unity with the Holy Spirit in the midst of division. This is where we truly recognize and are aware of the Come Alongside God, experiencing HIS grace upon grace power. In these moments of intimacy, we begin delighting ourselves in HIM to where our old desires are replaced with HIS and just as we saw in the interview with Tanya, we get to truly know how GOD fights for us as our greatest “fighting stance” is to just be still. Resting in HIM while he fights our battles and remember being still is highly active. In doing so, those past first days to read so many of your comments only pointed me back to the Father, yet again!
Meanwhile the moments in HIS presence I have personally experienced, just as I’m sure you have, how discomfort is the very thing that causes us to run to our only Comfort. Our temporary assignments are no longer seen as obligations to be carried out, instead opportunities for HIM to be seen. The moments of being in HIS presence, shreds any residue of pride as the only thing required of us is realized when aware of HIS glorious presence and this is what it is: To walk humbly before GOD causes us to love mercy and to do justly (As recorded in Micah 6:8). In this revelation of WHO HE IS, there is a leading into the greater deep, appreciating that no matter our situations or the difficult people that encounter us or that we encounter, there’s an appreciation of why we must go and encounter HIM and HIM alone!
All in all we get to capture the glorious mandate of being the light is to simply SHINE! It’s being enlightened in HIM to realize that light doesn’t “talk” about darkness; it simply continues to shine in the midst.
In this knowing we realize the power of partnership with GOD which causes us to flip the script and see encouragement in the midst of discouraging circumstances, causing a greater partnership with GOD. Yet again realizing that our highest form of worship is obedience. In this powerful reminder we remember this is how we fight GOD’s way and reveal that in HIM we operate from being in the position of “above and not beneath”! We no longer pray from panic but from the position of praise. We no longer see situations as being taken from, but when we make a decision to give even though others would say we are being taken advantage of or even stolen from; we seize those moments with Kingdom mindset and surrender is beyond commitment.
We get to say, “No one can take from someone who saw it as an opportunity to give!” NO matter how often, this shows our trust in the LORD, no matter what it looks like. We get the opportunity to sow even more seeds for HIS glory! Even our very decisions will point others back to the Father. The approach is boldness, knowing WHO has our back and our front. It’s all about TRUST. Results of a situation do not have the right to convince us otherwise.
Even while we trust GOD with such fervency and passion, we arise out of the ashes from a crushed spirit and in the midst we see another opportunity to flip the script as we heard from Lori Lewis! In the moments of the hard we go hard after GOD as we can boldly remember that GOD IS NOT SCARED!
In these critical moments of decision, it’s not about coming against the enemy; but leaning into GOD as my submission and trust in GOD is HOW I come against. To come against as the primary way of defeating the enemy is not where the power is. The power is not in our resistance but in our submission. In the submission is where the resistance is truly revealed!
Therefore, in these powerful instances there is this awe of GOD, another level of deep knowing that as we look to HIM we will be radiant and our faces no longer covered in shame!
So in the junctures of our lives, when we are squeezed in this life, we want more evidence of WHO lives within us to come oozing out and yet when the rotten parts come seeping out, then we can rejoice that the infections are surfacing and those are the places where we get to surrender where we had never surrendered before.
Or perhaps we had given those parts of us to the LORD and we thought it was completely gone. Yet in the squeezing moments of life, we see where there is a greater need for HIM in that area of our hearts to experience a new level of sweet surrender.
In these times it’s amazing to see how Holy Spirit is inviting us to this dance of grace as HE leads, we just get to follow. And as much as it is uncomfortable, those watching see the things that seem undone as though they are finished, because in HIM, they are accomplished no matter what our circumstances say!
To bless those that hurt us, to pray for those who spitefully use us and to do good to those who have treated us poorly is another display of peculiarity! This is what it means to be a peculiar people…it’s to, yet again, show off the power of GOD’s grace in the midst of our lives! This isn’t about revealing how strong we are; but revealing that in the midst of our weaknesses HIS strength is made perfect! He loves our weaknesses; HE is so not afraid of that mess as that is where HE is seen. In the sneak peeks of HIS glory we get to be ambassadors of HIM who has sent us! We declare with our lives and words, “It is Finished!” In this bold declaration, is how we are able to enter HIS throne of grace with boldness because we know WHO HE is and we know WHO has us!
He has you! HE Is your ever present help in time of need! He is the ONE who mourns with you and rejoices with and over you! You are HIS, and HE wants to be yours. Do you see HIS extended hand? He’s simply inviting you to HIS dance of grace. You are safe in HIS divine sway; HIS fragrance will cause you to lean in and place your head on HIS chest as you hear HIS heart beating for you. You will be hidden in HIM. Come away with HIM…come away!
